Andrea Toyias - Casting Director for a Day

Andrea Toyias’ newest workshop, Casting Director for a Day, was born out of her realization that “if actors could only hear what I hear as a casting director, they would have a much better understanding of what makes a great audition”. Thus, Andrea’s newest class took flight. With actors now entirely self-directing from their home booth – often with no idea if their auditions are even “close” to being good – Andrea decided it was not time to give voice talent a peek behind the other side of the glass and essentially becoming casting interns for a day.

Through a lively discussion of what makes a good audition, combined with a review of real-life auditions that have landed in Andrea’s inbox, participants will get a solid understanding of what casting directors are looking for and what truly makes an audition shine.
